Our Boys

We reached Queensland and finally caught up to our son Saul and our gorgeous grandsons Blake and Harley.. We celebrated Harley's 7th birthday and will celebrate Blake's 9th birthday on the 17th.

We decided to take Harley shopping for his present and finally 3 hours later he decided on this little thing that I haven't seen him with since lol..
On the other side Blake wants tons of things, all which cost a fortune lol..

We have so enjoyed seeing the boys and they have grown so much that before long we will turn around and they will have grown to young adults and will no longer want to hang out with nan and pop .. sighhh!!

I would say which one is the cheeky one but to be honest they both are lol..

Craft on the Road

Well I need to be honest, I have created very little craft while on the road. Why, because there is so much to do and see.. And I have been reading a great series of books.. See not enough time lol..

I did manage to create some card toppers for the male species and of course a few Gorjuss Paper Clip art pieces.. I will be creating some cards to show you soon but let me show you now what I have created...

CARD TOPPERS (MALE)

The paper, which I love is by Kaisercraft and called Story Book.. Lots of fussy cutting, a bit of tea dyed gauze, and heaps of 3D foam sq and you have these; oh don't forget to ink around the edges of all pieces with Tea Dye Distress Ink to get rid of the white cut edge..

GORJUSS PAPER CLIP ART

These Paper Clip beauties from the Simply Gorjuss 6 x 6 Paper Pack are just.. Well.. 'GORJUSS'..
With a little trim, odd bits and pieces and Victorian Velvet Distress inked gauze, What more do you need!!! Ok you do need to do lots of fussy cutting but that's all the fun isn't it..

Thank you for stopping by.
I hope I have inspired you to created wonderful things..

Our Trip So Far...

Hi all, Just giving you an update on our travels so far..  Not a lot happening with the crafty side of things but I have enjoyed visiting some lovely places that I thought I would share with you..

I love this photo of my hubby Stephen in front of the plane.. This photo was taken just as we entered Forbes..

We stayed down on the river front in Forbes and my how wonderful it was.. We were lucky to catch up with some old friends Charlie and Lorraine from Forbes.. Lots of laughter were to be had.

On we travelled to a place called Coonamble. Just outside of there is a little place called Nakadoo Farm that we stayed at for a night.. Wow, we had the place to ourselves and the host Karen was wonderful.. She made a fire for us and after we found out she was a Mrs Whippy lady , well of course we had to have a whippy ice cream..

Be careful of the outside dunny as there is a mighty huge 'Red Back on the Toilet Seat Last Night'.. Sorry couldn't help myself, it is a song and an old one at that lol.. There is tons of items dating back to the 1800's so worth a look for sure..

Up to Lightning Ridge we go and lo and behold we see this fella 'Stanley' who is a 18 meter Emu made from scrap metal including a car body..

We are just setting up camp here and must admit was looking forward to sitting down with a cuppa..

Will keep you all updated and hopefully will get some of them crafty items in soon lol.
