A Trip For Me...

Hi all, Well the time is nearly here for me to head off on my trip around Australia. My hubby and I decided to pack up for the winter in Tassie and head to the mainland..

We went to WA a few years ago and up to Qld but it wasn't long enough and to be honest I think we became home sick lol..

We were going a couple of years ago but my back decided to throw in the towel and so I had a back operation and then a neck operation so we didn't get to go.. Hubby is not well now but he said "Donna, we are going and that's it".  He's the boss or at least I let him think that lol.  But in all seriousness if we don't go now I don't think we will ever go so its pack up the van, let the daughter move in and head off..

There is still so much to do before the 13th of May but I know we will get there.. Now if anyone would like to meet up for a coffee while on my travels just pm me and hopefully we can do that..

I will be posting photos of my travels when in service so keep an eye out for me..

Take care people and see some of you soon

The Bunny Trail - AVSC Clean & Simple # 3

Oh My Goodness, My Third project is here already..
This one is a bit different and I will tell you why!!

My sister Shirley said to me recently "why cant you make some easy cards"
I asked her what she meant as I thought I was doing easy cards, lol.
She replied, "all the ones you do have heaps of things on them, and I don't have
all the same stuff you do and I only like easy ones as my eyesight
is poor" (she is 74 after all lol)..

So for my sister and all the people who only likes easy ones for whatever reason, I have created a set of six cards using mostly what is in the kit.. And if I have used a die
you can certainty cut the same out by hand.. I have inked around all pieces
of cardstock and papers...

Clean & Simple Card Set

Card1...

I cut a piece of Lime Green cardstock and attached to the card front, then added a strip of washie tape down the left side. I used 3D foam tape to attach the 'cut-out'
a little to the left.  I also attached the fussy cut egg, bunny, chick and butterfly
with 3D foam tape after colouring them in..
Some bling, Nuvo drops, dimensional magic and glitter finishes off the
card nicely...

I love the colour of these Nuvo Drops and these images are soooo darn CUTE!!

Card 2...

If you watched my unboxing video on youtube, you will know this piece of
Ephemera; as soon as I seen it I knew it was destined for a card. lol

I cut a mat from a piece of patterned paper and using 3D foam tape
adhered the Ephemera piece on top.
I stamped the Happy Easter banner and fussy cut it and attached it
using 3D foam tape. I die cut a banner (you can do this piece by hand)
and again attached it with 3D foam tape..
Dimensional magic and glitter is all it needed to finish...

Card 3...

I just love this border with the three chicks, so decided this was the piece I was going to use for a card.  I matted it onto a blue piece of cardstock, cut a small strip of contrasting patterned paper (scrap) and adhered it above the chicks.
I placed a piece of washi tape along the top (love this stuff) and
again using 3D foam tape adhered the eggs Ephemera on top of it.
A banner underneath finishes the card with a little glitter.

Card 4...

Matting bright pink cardstock to the left allowed me to fit the leaf ribbon on the right.
I added the cut-out with 3D foam tape and placed the two corners on the left. (you can hand cut corners if you don't have a punch or die). The tiny Flowers on the
leaf ribbon looks wonderful.. Add some bling and that's it..

Pretty as don't you think...

Card 5...

I just love this little card..

I matted some bright yellow cardstock across the card front, added a strip of washie tape on the top and bottom of the mat then a strip of patterned paper (scrap) on each side.  I attached the cut-out with 3D foam tape, added the notes tab Ephemera and
finished of with a gold pearl on the Easter ribbon..

Card 6...

I used a bright Orange mat for this lovely card with washie tape on the top and bottom.
Then I attached the cut-out with 3D foam tape. After inking around the edges
of the banner I attached these and the Happy Ephemera also with foam tape.
Some Nuvo Drops on the flowers make for a simple but lovely card...

I love how the Nuvo Drops stay raised..

... All six cards ...

My three projects together..

The Bunny Trail - Easter Box AVSC April #2

Hi all, Well here we go with my second project
An Easter Box...
The colours of these papers are so gorgeous and bright
that I thought how do I showcase them..

I made this little box which measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"
and added a belly band to keep it closed.. The Pink
brads and orange ribbon brings it all together..

I placed a notecard through the belly band and
tied it with ribbon.. The stamp was perfect for the front
of the notecard.  and those tiny FLOWERS gorgeous..

I fussy cut 4 carrots and adhered them to the front of the card.
I just love how cute the washi tape is over the tips
of the carrots..

An opened view of the box and a sneek peak
of my next project lol.

I also lined the lid of the box and rounded the corners.

The Bunny Trail - Easter Basket AVSC April #1

Well here we go again, Yah!! you get to see me waffle on
with this project for April 'The Bunny Trail'.
This is project # 1 The Easter Basket!!

How CUTE is this little basket, honestly!!

I fussy cut the Easter eggs both sides and adhered them together so you
can see them from both sides, a little bling and glitter to
finish them off nicely..

Isn't this leaf ribbon just gorgeous!!

The 'Mr Bunny' from Doodlebug is CUTE as.. And looks
wonderful as the main feature.. Did you notice the washi tape?

The back of the Easter Basket.. Though Easter is more of Australia's
Autumn, I really liked the tag and thought why not..
(just noticed the tag is a little off kilter lol)

I found these little chicks in my stash from years ago, (was actually looking for something else lol), and yelled "YES, Perfect" hehe..

So after it was finished, photos taken I was cleaning up when I spotted these gorgeous FLOWERS from the kit and mmm, I think I will add
 them to the leaf ribbon..

Finishes off the handle don't you think. I was really happy how this little
basket turned out and so colourful as well.
Totally 'Love' the paper..

'What project didn't go as planned and what was plan B'

Hello lovely people, I cannot believe how these months are flying past.
Do you believe it is now April, what happened to March???

Wow, as soon as Aunty Vera asked me 'What project didn't go as planned and what was plan B' ? I knew straight away this project was it..

There have been many projects that have not turned out like I thought
they would but this one, is the mother of all "what happened"!! lol.

This was supposed to be a Maypole which is this"

and when danced right forms a brilliant pattern..
I did this dance as a child.

Now look at this project, does that even resemble a Maypole??

I made a box, wrapped ribbon around a wooden chop stick and placed a Styrofoam
ball on top of it and thought ok now what .. ( didn't have any smaller balls).
Decided to cut strips of paper and glued and glued them to the ball.
Then sealed the whole thing.

I needed something to tie ribbons on so found this thingy and
decorated it up a bit and tied the ribbons on after trying
wire with beads first (so not happening).

Didn't like the ribbon on the stick so wrapped it in lace, then ribbon
roughly then wire..  the box looked empty so rolled tiny bits of paper and
glued them together with lots of adhesive..

Tried long ribbon but looked awful with the box so cut it shorter. Too bland
then thought what if I stamp some butterflies and fussy cut them which I did.
Then the stick was too bare so I use some copper wire and
wrapped bits around and placed some little notecards o the ends.

The box was too flat so I made two wheels from empty ribbon spools.
Decorated them up a bit and placed the box on top of them.
Then I thought the box was too plain so added some
die cuts and fussy cutting and yep  liked that.

Decorated the sides of the box and ribbon spools to match in..

Added a few more things to the ball as it was too bare.

And VOILA my 'THINGY' that was suppose to be a Maypole..
OH I also thought about a hot air balloon but found that
was too complicated after all this lol..

Do you know what though !!  I love it and think of it as my favourite project.
What it is or what you would call it beats me but I fell in love
with it and now wont change a thing. LOL
And don't forget small mistakes could be a wonderful thing...

I hope I have inspired you to create Glorious things..
Thank you for stopping by...
