Meeting Sue Smyth

I was so lucky to meet Sue Smyth and do some classes with her. What a wonderful time I had and all the goodies and ideas I came away with was wonderful..

How's that, a photo with the wonderful lady herself..

A layout I completed, made a few adjustments for myself,
but that is what it is all about..  Love this layout..

Sugar coated flowers (aka glittered), love this new technique
Sue showed me..

How simple is this corner but how effective is it..

Love these tags and the embossed birdbath..

Layer apon layer to lift this design..
And of course I used pop and Charlie for
this layout..

A card..

How pretty is this close up..

Another card, simple but effective, nearly shabby sheik..

Another card and look at this lattice die, just loved it..

I rubbed the bird and flowers with perfect pearls to give a different effect..

Love the dye coloured leaves for this card and the glittered flowers..

Three cards together, the photo does not do it justice..

I had a blast with Sue and her work it just wonderful, if you get the change check her out..

Thank you Sue for your time and commitment to showing your craft..

Hugs people..xx

All The Leaves Are Brown March Project # 4 AVSC

Well I think this is the last of my projects for the month of March with
Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft... What a wonderful kit this has been
and some of my favourite colours so I am happy lol..

I have created this little bag of note cards that measure 4inches x 3 inches...
I had so much fun doing this and it was my favourite project of the month..

I punched holes in the bag and used the Jute String from the kit to close it..
You have to love this note card front ..

Side view of the bag.. I inked around the edges
to make it stand out better.

The bag opened and as you can see where the holes were
punched out.. This little bag held 9 cards quite easily..

I inked around all of the note cards and attached them to a
card base measuring 3inches by 8 inches folded in half..
All the notecards have bling, Kindy Glitz and Glossy Accents somewhere..

1... For this notecard I fussy cut the fox and raccoon and
adhered it using 3D foam tape..

2... A border on the side and a punched leaf stop this little guy
being boring..

3... I like this one because it is different.  The corners were scraps
leftover from The Cottage roof..

4... A metal leaf embellishment and Jute String was perfect
for this note card..

5... This is different, I made a hinged shaker for the front
of this note card..

It wasn't until I made it that I realised the apples were sideways lol..

6... I had little bits left over from a door so I adhered them to the top
of the gnome hats.. I then punched out tiny leaves and fussy cut
a butterfly..

7... For this note card I die cut a door and added
different paper for the door panels..

8... Feeling Blessed is a lovely notecard and was simply
created by placing some Washie Tape
on both sides..

9... How cute is this note card!! A fussy cut butterfly
and a border on the side and it was done..

I love owls and I knew this had to be the front of my bag...

All 4 projects together...

Like I said I love this colour range and it was so easy to create
something.. I hope you like what I did and please go
check out Aunty Vera's blog to see what the other Creative Team
created as well...

All The Leaves Are Brown March Project # 2 AVSC

Ok, I was so not going to make a book for this month projects but guess what,
I couldn't help myself lol..  I just love these little quotes
and the books fit into my first project The Cottage..

Firstly I cut ATC size cardstock which is 3 1/2 inches x 2 1/2 inches.
Then distressed inked them in the gorgeous colours from the kit..

Inside the cottage where the little books reside..

I then tore some pages up from an old book and pasted them on.
Placing the gorgeous Washie Tape from the Washie Tape book (in kit)
on the edge of each page and stamping over the whole thing
brought it all together..

Using the Glitter Paste from the kit, I stencilled over the top
of each page using the Autumn stencil..

I just love this little wish charm and thought it suited the
little quote card.. (I am yet to place a wish into it, there are so many
thing I want to wish for)...

I added tea dyed gauze and adhered the quotes..

I made a shaker pouch using the Washie Tape as a
border around two pieces of plastic..

Punching out some leaves from Carl - Maple, I placed one at each
end of the quote after inking around the edges in the
gorgeous Orange??? ink ..

Using Medium Gel I adhered it all together and placed tiny beads
at the top and bottom of each quote card...

The gold in the Washie Tape was perfect for this
leaf with the gold veins..

I inked around each quote card and placed the scraps of the Washie Tape
on some of them to give a little extra something..
The Jute String was perfect for tying it
altogether I thought..

What Colours do I play AVSC

All the leaves are brown
and the sky is grey.....
but in your craft room,
with which colours do you play?...

MMM, A tough question really as I love all colours and shades.
BUT saying that, I think the colours I use the most
are the darker ones.. Blacks, Browns, Creams, Greens
and so on..

I do work with other colours and to be honest for
some strange reason have found myself working
with lots of Pink, go figure,
(might have something to do with the kits I have been receiving lol)...

Just a couple of samples to show you
what I mean lol...

Even though this one is Blue I have still
used shades of Brown..
